Authentication required to have access to the functions 

If you prefer a more basic manager without uncomplicated elements, you can take TaskWrapper for a spin, and decide if it fits your needs. The offered interface is self-explanatory and user-friendly displaying the jobs lists on the left part of the window, while on the right, you can view all the entries from a specific category.
Make sure you have Adobe AIR installed on the computer, as it's needed to run the setup, and you own a Gmail account, as it's required, in order to access the tool. Automatically the app loads all the stored lists from your Google Tasks and displays them in the panel. Plus, from there you can also make custom ones, by giving them a fitting name.

Organize the assignments based on their priority

To compose new entries, press the Add button as many times as necessary, and fill in the short description, pick a due date, and select the proper category. From the toolbar, you are able to sort the items by order, date, or completion status, and view the deleted tasks.
The utility lets you mark records when finished, and can be easily hidden from sight, with a single click. It's possible to move them up and down, using the arrows, or by dragging and dropping them to the desired position. The font may only be changed between bold, italic, or underline, as the app doesn't offer other customization elements.
