TCP Client Description

TCP Client is a lightweight tool especially created to help you connect to a given TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) in order to deliver data between applications that are located on the same network.
The TCP protocol allows you to connect to servers which are located across the World Wide Web and makes it possible for you to transfer data across different locations with the use of HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, SSH and FTP protocols.

Comprehensive interface

TCP Client displays a user-friendly interface which is comprised of a single and simple main window from where you enter all the information that is needed to establish the connection, as well as view the reply from the server.

Simple connection requirements

Creating the connection demands that you enter a hostname or IP address, as well as a port number. After that, all you need to do is click the ‘Connect’ button and TCP Client does the rest. The reply from the server is displayed in a resizable section of the GUI. To confirm whether the connection was successful, a green ‘Send’ button is highlighted and you get an additional one that allows you to stop the entire process.
The server requests are entered in a left section of the main window and you need to use new lines when communicating with the server you previously connected to. TCP Client doesn’t offer you predefined commands that you can use to speed things up but it does come with a ‘Clear’ button which once you click erases all the text lines.

Remotely connect to TCP ports

In closing, if you’re looking for a simple means of connecting to a TCP host, then you can certainly try TCP Client.
