The NDictionary Description
The NDictionary is a software application which enables you to view definitions of certain English words, as well as their Sinhala or Singlish correspondents.
The installation process is fast and does not offer to add other third party tools. The interface sports a simple and classical design, which allows even people with little to no experience with computer easily work with it.
The utility includes three different sizes, which you can toggle between depending on the level of information you are looking for. Aside from that, it goes in the system tray from the first launch, and therefore does not become obtrusive.
All you have to do in order to view the Sinhala or Singlish translation of a word, is input it in the appropriate box and click the “Search†button. The NDictionary will instantly display the correspondent along with a few other entries that contain your keyword.
It is possible to go to the previous search you have conducted, use a text-to-speech tool or the Singlish keyboard, as well as view English definitions and explanation of particular words.
By right-clicking the system tray icon, you bring up a context menu which enables you to access the settings panel, a few word games and a subtitle translator for KMPlayer, add words to the Dictionary, and view the top 10 sentences and words.
You can also use an auto text grab and OCR program, yet you should know that in Softpaz tests, on a Windows 8 64-bit operating system, they have crashed.
CPU and memory usage is insignificant, which means you can run other utilities in the same time, without it affecting your system’s performance.
All in all, The NDictionary is an efficient piece of software with several options that can keep you occupied for a while. However, it could benefit greatly from an update.
