TherioImageStudio Description
TherioImageStudio is a plain and simple software application that enables you to take screenshots and convert local images to other formats. It features just some basic options that can be quickly figured out.
Simple setup and interface
Installing this tool is a rapid and uncomplicated task that shouldn't impose any difficulties. Once it's over, you are welcomed by a normal-looking window with an easy-to-navigate structure, which represents TherioImageStudio's interface.
Two large buttons in the main window are responsible for capturing screenshots and converting photos. There is only one capture mode: full screen.
Take snapshots and convert images
Once the command is sent to the utility, it grabs the entire desktop with any active windows (apart from TherioImageStudio itself) and lets you preview the image before deciding whether it's worth saving to the disk or not.
This can be done easily by pointing out the output file name and file name (the only available format is .bmp). In order to convert a picture, all you have to do is select it from the disk, pick the preferred output format (.png, .jpeg, .gif, .psd), as well as indicate the target file name and destination. There are no other noteworthy options available here.
Evaluation and conclusion
The only problem we have encountered is that the application failed in its attempt to convert images to .psd format (clicking the button didn't trigger any action). Otherwise, it's pretty basic and does what it says. The downside is that it lacks more advanced options, such as batch conversion or multiple capture modes. Nevertheless, you can test TherioImageStudio for yourself, since it's freeware.
