TouchNet Browser

TouchNet Browser is an application that comes as a lighter alternative to the popular web browsers available on the market, promising to offer tabbed browsing, popup blockers and more.
The first thing that may convince you to close this browser and go back to your favorite Internet navigator is the interface. Although it looks similar to the other web browsers out there, TouchNet Browser's design is more or less outdated and lacks basically theming or other visual customization options.
There are several useful tools though, including a dedicated feature to translate any loaded page into another language. Some of the languages aren't working at all, while others need a lot of time to load because they rely on web-based services.
TouchNet Browser may trick you into believing that it's full of features, but some of them are actually just simple buttons that enable you to run Windows utilities on the go.
For example, you can start Notepad, Paint, Windows Explorer, Calculator or CD Player straight from within TouchNet Browser using the entries in the 'Tools' menu. It also comes with an engine to 'speak' the pages you visit, but once again this also depends on other software solutions, so you will have to install a dedicated speech engine and character.
Managing tabs is a nightmare because the only way to open a new tab is to go over to the 'File' menu. There are multiple options when right clicking a tab though, including to close the selected one or all tabs, refresh, stop, lock the tab or add to favorites.
The good thing about TouchNet Browser is the fact that it uses just a reasonable amount of system resources, but otherwise it simply lacks too many features. It has an unattractive interface while the tabbed browsing can be awful at times.
