Txt Reader

Txt Reader is a lightweight and portable software application developed to helps users view the content of plain text documents (e.g. TXT format), such as ebooks.
It sports standard options and configuration settings, meaning that the app can be handled by all types of users, even the ones with limited or no previous experience in text viewers.
The tool comes in handy whenever it is not possible to view TXT content using traditional programs, such as Windows' Notepad, offering a quick and temporary fix-up in the matter.
Since installation is not a requirement, you can drop the executable file in any location on the hard disk and just click it to run.
It is also possible to save Txt Reader to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run in on any machine with minimum effort and no previous installers.
What's worth taking into account is that the Windows registry does not get updated with new entries, and no additional files are created on the HDD, leaving it clean after program removal.
The interface is plain and does not include any striking visual elements. TXT files can be selected for content viewing by using the drag-and-drop support. The tool features text rotation, automatic scrolling and smart filling.
These options are accessible in the context menu. Txt Reader also lets you change the font size, use a search function, minimize, maximize or restore the window, and so on.
The easy-to-use program runs on a very low quantity of CPU and RAM, so it does not burden overall performance. It has a good response time and works fine, without causing the OS to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. We have not come across any issues in our tests.
