Unit Scout Description

Unit Scout is a complex tool, both unit converter and calculator, that does not depend on an interface and can be used by simply inserting its commands into a text field editor on your system.
When active, the software scans the user keyboard input in text fields and when it identifies conversion or calculator commands displays the answer in the text field.
A user can can convert inches into cm by typing "in>>cm" and the result will replace the command. The text strings are analyzed if the user presses the space key and canceled by backspace.
You can access the Unit Scout database at any time to see unit symbols, factors, their basis unit and type.
