Universal Converter Description
Universal Converter is a tool that supports the conversion of US, UK, Japanese and metric units.
The interface of the program is based on a standard window in which you can access three tabs - "Conversion", "Options" and "About".
So, you can select the category (e.g. area, capacity, currency, length, numbers, power, pressure, speed), as well as source and target units (e.g. acre, square meter, square inch).
All you have to do is input the source value, specify the source and target unit, and results are automatically displayed (you don't have to press any buttons).
Furthermore, you can swap values, clear the fields and copy the information to clipboard.
In the "Options" menu, you can set Universal Converter to automatically run at system startup, always be on top of other applications, display balloon tooltips, close to system tray and to use regional settings. But you can also check for updates by the simple click of a button.
The software takes up a very low amount of system memory and CPU. It doesn't include a help file but that's not required anyway, since the features can be easily understood. No errors have popped up, no items are left behind after uninstall, Universal Converter didn't freeze or crash during our tests, and the results are accurate.
In conclusion, Universal Converter may not be a sophisticated program for converting units of measurement but it is straightforward and simple to use. We definitely recommend it.
