WackGet

WackGet is a lightweight and intuitive piece of software developed to offer you the means of grabbing your favorite files from the Internet, supporting several download threads at the same time.
Subsequent to the brief and uneventful installation process, you can launch the application and start working with it right away, since it truly requires no prior experience with similar programs in order to get the hang of it.
The main window features the basic appearance of a table, where all the links you add are listed in a queue, along with their status (‘Downloading’, ‘Complete’, ‘Failed’, etc), the progress in percentage and the speed it uses to grab the file.
WackGet lets you add one item at a time by typing or pasting the corresponding URL address from clipboard into the proper field, then pressing ‘OK’, which will cause it to start downloading right away. From the context menu, you can pause the process or stop it, if you decide you no longer want the file.
Moreover, the utility supports creating and loading ‘Queue’ files, where you can input several different URLs and grab them all in one go. The list can be stored for later, should you ever need to redownload the same objects or share it friends.
WackGet’s ‘Preferences’ section enables you to choose the default destination folder or set the maximum number of concurrent downloads; you can also decide what to do in the case of same-named files. In addition, it lets you configure the Proxy options, specifically the server, username and password, should you want to save a file by means of proxy.
