Wallpaper Changer Description
Wallpaper Changer is a tool built to help users change their wallpapers following a predefined schedule.
Straightforward interface
The layout of the application is pretty basic. You are given a set of five default images that you can select as wallpapers.
In case the default pictures won't be on your liking (no surprise here since they are only in 1024×768 resolution), you can add an entire folder with photos more suited for your desktop, or simply a single image if you don't plan to regularly change your wallpaper.
Hidden features
Since Wallpaper Changer isn't the sort of program you should spend more than five minutes sorting it, additional features aren't directly available to users, but rather in the system tray. There, users can tweak some more options regarding this tool and how it behaves when your computer boots.
Users can set the app to start automatically at Windows startup or have Wallpaper Changer modify the wallpaper immediately after it's executed. Random background picture sequences, time interval, and screen positions are also available for being altered.
In case a quick wallpaper change is needed, users can bring up the controller console from the system tray and basically command the entire application with just six buttons. From there users can set up background pictures with the push of a single button and can also quickly remove the current image if this is needed.
Conclusion
Wallpaper Changer isn't such a great alternative to your Windows default wallpaper setting parameters. Basically, every little feature the default system has, it's replicated by the utility.
Except the nice mini-controller mechanic in the lower right corner of your screen, there is practically nothing new this application will bring over what you can already control in your Windows Personalization panel. Overall, Wallpaper Changer isn't really revolutionary in available features, but it comes with some nice little helpers that simply make the wallpaper changing process a little bit faster.
