Windows Wallpaper Changer is a lightweight and portable application that you can use to seamlessly alter your desktop wallpaper.
It comes packed with just a few settings that can be adjusted by anyone, even people with no previous experience in computer software.
Since there is no setup pack included, you can drop the executable file to any location on the hard disk and just click it to run.
It is also possible to save Windows Wallpaper Changer to a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any machine with minimum effort and without prior installers.
What's more, the app does not add new entries to the Windows registry, nor create files on the HDD, leaving it clean after removal.
The interface is represented by a regular window with a plain and simple structure, where you can use the file browser to import an image file and apply it as the current wallpaper with the click of a button. It can be previewed within the main frame before doing so.
Unfortunately, Windows Wallpaper Changer offers support only for JPG files. We would have liked to see additional support for other file types, such as BMP and PNG. There are no other options provided by the application.
We have noticed a minimal CPU and RAM consumption during the tool's runtime, so it does not put a strain on computer performance. No error dialogs were shown throughout our evaluation, and the app did not hang or crash. All in all, Windows Wallpaper Changer offers a simple solution for replacing the desktop wallpaper, and it can be used by anyone, thanks to its overall simplicity.
