Warranty Database Description
Nowadays, each product comes with a monthly or yearly warrant, especially items that can break easily, and need periodical maintenance. However, without that piece of paper, the seller won't be able to help you. So, one of the many solutions out there may be Warranty Database, which offers an extensive local database to store such records.
No installation is required
The tool comes with only a few necessary files to properly work and doesn't involve prior setup to be run. It can be put on a USB flash drive and loaded on any PC. Plus, it doesn't consume too many resources, nor creates entries in the registry.
A colored and smooth interface is offered, consisting of a single panel, with the required fields neatly organized for a quick insertion. In the upper part, you can find navigational arrows and the search bar.
Fill in the details for a complete form
If you have lists stored on the drive, you can import them directly into the app, and further edit them. To insert a new entry, all you have to do is type in all the necessary information, like item, buyer, purchase date, manufacture, model and serial numbers, along with the registration date and ID, contract info, and expiration date. For the data to be successfully saved, you need to press the Add button.
A useful addition would've been a personal database with a security system, to keep the details away from prying eyes. It could've been a plus, if it came with several visual settings, to add a touch of personality, a whole file viewer, and save function.
View your items easily
It's possible to go to the first and last record at a press of a button and browse through them either using the green arrows or the next and previous buttons, from the bottom. The app lets you look up for particular words or sentences using the search bar, which opens a separate tab in your web browser.
A big downside is the fact that the export function is inaccessible, limiting the only option to export the data. Its lack of features leaves much to be desired.
On an ending note
To sum it up, Warranty Database is an average and simple utility designed to offer an uncomplicated way to record and store warranties from applications, products, or other similar items.
