WAVNormalizer Description

With the computer being used as a powerful tool for nearly all domains of activity, audio processing makes no exception. If used in this regard, the result needs to be clean and offer high-quality feedback to the user. Various processing tools can be used, depending on what needs to be done, with applications like WAVNormalizer targeting volume of WAV files.

Import and process multiple files

One of the biggest advantages of the application is that it can be used on the go, since it comes in a lightweight package that requires no installation. What's more, little system resources are used, making it compatible with a wide array of configurations.
Adding files is easily done either through the dedicated option or by dragging them over the main window, with the possibility to add multiple files at a time. All imported items are enlisted so you can take one last look the list and decide whether or not they need to be normalized.

Result generated in the blink of an eye

Before putting the process in motion, you'd best make a backup copy of the target file. This is because the application does not have an implemented feature to set a destination folder, instead it replaces the original.
Although normalization is done incredibly fast, meaning only a few seconds in case of lots of large files, anything that interferes can leave you with corrupt data. However, the application gives you the possibility to have files sent to an external encoder which you can set with dedicated options, as well as an option for a destination directory.

Configure normalization values

On the other hand, if the file does not need to benefit from normalization, they are skipped, with this info being displayed in a progress indicating window. You can manually set the application to skip files in case volume differs with a custom percentage from the maximum value.
Furthermore, the normalization tab provides info regarding size, length, sample rate, bits per sample, as well as number of channels for each file you select. This comes in handy to get an idea of the normalization value that is set in a specific field.

In conclusion

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that WAVNormalizer is one of the tools that shouldn't be missing from a computer used for audio processing. System resources used are not something to worry about, with the process being done in the blink of an eye. Although not the best of its kind, with a little left to be desired, it's worth taking for a spin.
