Wikileaks Cablebase

This tool is for collecting the latest cable releases from your selected mirror site and for storing them in a local database. You can search the database for a phrase or your choosing, or for one of the heading items, or even a combination of the two. The View menu lets you see a list of which cables were last downloaded, and has a Search function where you can select by Year, Month, Origin, Classification and / or choose to search for a word or phrase in the header and / or body of the cables. To get the latest cables click on Load/Check and then Check for New Cables.

Latest lists all cables in the latest batch that you have downloaded. This list remains available until the next download when it is replaced with a new list. If any cables were not downloaded (server load, internet problems etc) they are recorded and can be re-downloaded quickly using Reload Failed Cables There are two mirror sites in use in the program. Two will have been selected at install time but you can change these anytime you wish. You can also see which is your current mirror and can swap the main and alternate mirrors. The mirror selection screen allows to to filter by domain extension. (.com, .eu etc) Options allows you to select the method of update - see the Options menu for more details.
