Window Title Changer Description
Window Title Changer is a lightweight application that gives you the possibility to edit the text from the title bar of any open window. It's a way of customizing your operating system by assigning any text you want to programs you frequently work with. This way, you can easily manage numerous active windows by identifying them using simple keywords.
Needs .NET Framework to properly work
The downloaded executable file can be copied to a preferred directory on the disk and just double-clicked to launch the tool. You can also keep it stored on a USB flash drive to run it on any machine and edit window titles.
Just make sure to have .NET Framework installed since it cannot work without this software framework. Newer Windows iterations have it pre-installed, so you shouldn't have difficulties in this regard.
Easily edit window titles or create new ones
The interface is made of a standard .NET Framework form that adds little of its own. You can type in the name of a currently open window or just the first letters since the utility supports partial matches and shows a list of possible window titles in real time (as you type).
In the following step, you can select an entry from the list and edit the window title or replace it with an entirely new one, and click a button to commit modifications. If you bring the window in focus, the new name should be displayed. Changes are not undone by exiting Window Title Changer but only quitting the application of the window in question.
Simplistic, yet practical tool for window management
All things considered, Window Title Changer doesn't bring anything new to the table but offers a straightforward means of editing window titles to easily keep track of many open applications at the same time. It consumed little system resources in our testing.
