WinKaraoke Creator is a lightweight Windows application whose purpose is to help you edit MID or KAR file. The tool comes with support for staff notation for representing MIDI data and complete track listings. It is fully compatible with Type 1 MIDI files.

Clean looks

After a fast and simple installation process where you only need to follow the preset steps in order to complete the task, the program reveals a straightforward layout which can be decoded on the fly. MID and KAR files can be imported in the working environment using the built-in browse button (the drag-and-drop support is not implemented).

Audio editing capabilities

WinKaraoke Creator offers you the possibility to add a single song for editing purposes. You can perform notations on a staff where you can check out how MIDI data is represented.
What’s more, you are given the freedom to manually choose the tracks that you want to work with, select or deselect all tracks with a single click, refresh the information shown in the main window, automatically jump to the next note for easy synchronization, provide information about the current song, as well as transpose one octave up or down.
Another important feature worth being mentioned enables you to add lyrics anywhere in the selected file. Lyrics may also be deleted. The files can be exported to KAR file format. Preset hotkeys can be employed for faster actions.
On the downside, WinKaraoke Creator has not been updated for a while so it may cause compatibility issues especially on newer operating systems like Windows 8 and 10. You do not have to worry that the overall performance of the computer is hampered because the application remains light on system resources.
