WiSeVNC Description
Nowadays, remote assistance is almost a common practice since it allows a user to temporarily view and control a remote computer over a network or the Internet in order to resolve problems.
WiSeVNC, short for Windows-integrated Service Virtual Network Computing, is a lightweight piece of software that allows you to remotely control any computer on which it is installed.
This said, the first thing you need to be aware of is the fact that, in order to gain remote access to the specific computer, you are required to make sure that a VNC viewer or client is present on your computer.
Unobtrusive and lightweight VNC service
Considering .NET Framework 4.0 is present on your computer, you should be able to get WiseVNC up and running in just a few seconds and with no more than a few mouse clicks, thanks to its streamlined installer.
Once installed, the application makes its presence known by integrating with your computer's taskbar. From the compact taskbar menu, you can easily connect or disconnect the server, as well as access the app's Configuration section.
Please note that the application requires full system rights in order to work as intended.
Straightforward configuration process
The Configuration section is neatly organized in six, self-explanatory tabs, Server 1, Server 2, Authentication, Notification, Protocol, and Registration.
As we are sure you will find out, by default, the app's VNC server is configured to listen for incoming VNC connections on port 5900.
From the first tabs, you can fully configure the general rules for connections, screen rules, input rules, sharing rules, some desktop settings, and even encoding options.
Helps you control your computer from another remote PC
Taking everything into consideration, WiseVNC provides you with one of the quickest and most efficient ways to remotely control your computer or other ones. The application is easy to install, quite novice-accessible and extremely lightweight, especially on any modern computer. The only thing you need to know is that you will need a VNC client or viewer to pair it with.
