XP TCP/IP Repair Description
If you surf the web a lot, then you have probably encountered by now a situation when, after installing or uninstalling certain applications (mostly firewalls) the Internet connection is affected. That, or you now have local connectivity only, or just the connection runs slower than it used to, should be reason enough to ruin your day.
Most of the times it happened you had to reset the network protocol, tweak settings or worse, turn to expensive solutions to repair your network connection. Well, XP TCP/IP Repair provides a simple GUI that automatically repairs your TCP/IP registry settings and your Winsock LSP's.
You don't have to know much about internet protocols, registries or setting up a network connection. You don't have to remember specific settings or write long command lines. Just press a button or two and the problem should be fixed.
What XP TCP/IP Repair does is repair, add and delete system services related to the network connection. A log will be created on your desktop after the repair function was executed, explaining in detail the actions that were taken.
As a last resort, the application allows you to repair Winsock issues. Be cautious though, and use this options only if you have no or limited network connectivity due to a malformed LSP. You have to be certain of that because any previously installed LSP's need to be reinstalled.
So if you deal with the loss of connectivity and struggled to solve the problem, you can use XP TCP/IP Repair for the job.
