YASA MP4 Video Converter is a tool that allows you to encode video clips of multiple extensions, including MP4, AVI, ASF, VOB, MPG and WMV.
The interface of the program is plain and intuitive. Media can be imported into the queue via the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is allowed.
In the list you can check out the source path, original and output format, duration, size, output destination and status of each video.
So, all you have to do is specify the output directory and extension, in order to proceed with the conversion process.
In addition, you can configure audio and video preferences when it comes to the codec, bit rate, frame rate, frame size, aspect ratio, channel, volume, sampling rate and others.
But you can also edit metadata (e.g. title, author, comment), trim clips by marking their start and end time, preview videos, view file information, specify the default output directory, change the interface skin, view codec logs, and more.
The video encoding software quickly finishes a task while using a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, includes a step-by-step tutorial (too bad it doesn't have snapshots) and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. However, YASA MP4 Video Converter failed to convert several videos, including MPG and AVI to MP4. We recommend this tool with reservations.
