YouTube Free Downloader is a simple piece of software with a pretty self-explanatory name. Its purpose is to help you grab your favorite videos from the Internet and save them locally to your computer.
Designed with ease of use in mind, the main interface is simple and well-organized, enabling you to view a list of recently downloaded videos. The application features live clipboard monitoring, which means that it is capable of automatically detecting the YouTube URLs that are copied to the clipboard and add them to the download queue, without having you to paste the link or enter it manually.
Once a URL is detected or entered in the dedicated field, YouTube Free Downloader analyzes the file and displays the video title, duration, together with a small preview window. The application only provides support for MP4 file format and it can save your video in high-definition or standard quality.
To proceed to the actual download process, you simply have to select the desired video and press the 'Download' button. The application allows you to download more than one video at the same time and save the generated MP4 files to the user-defined output destination folder.
The download progress and speed for each video are displayed within the main window and you can abort the process, if needed.
Unlike other similar applications, YouTube Free Downloader only supports Youtube, provides few options for adjusting the output quality and does not include a conversion tool to help you save the grabbed videos to other file formats.
