Zalman_Viewer Description
Monitors have greatly been improved over the years to display stunning details and even 3D view with or without glasses. Even though you can view a 3D image or video on any type of display by simply wearing glasses, deciding not to requires a stereo monitor. It's used to project the image that from a specific focal view tricks your brain into perceiving depth. With applications like Zalman_Viewer you can run 3D pictures without the need of a driver.
Can be used on the go
The application can run without issues once you get ahold of it, with no installation required. It represents a file browser, with all available space dedicated to viewing and navigating through your hard disk drive.
Large icons are displayed, with the only way to move around is clicking folders and desired files. The application is specialized in rendering MPO and JPS files, with the possibility to also open popular image formats.
Good but far from being a pro
Once an image is open, you can drag it around the workspace, zoom, but with no included function to stretch it on the whole screen. What's more, scrolling through images is rather irritating, because the application also takes folders into consideration, putting a sudden end to your viewing experience once the next item is not a supported image.
The application is a simple explorer, with no implemented function to create albums or save favorite locations. Moreover, the overall design leaves a little something to be desired and could use a little tweaking.
A few last words
Al in all, Zalman_Viewer gets the job properly done, triggering no functionality issues. Functions are straightforward with nothing to make it stand out from the crowd. It's a simple file explorer that can easily display 3D pictures, with a lot of room for improvement, both visually and feature-wise. You cant' organize albums, but it can do just for a quick 3D experience.
