Zip Recovery

Zip Recovery is a Java-based application that you can use to extract content from ZIP files when the archives are broken and cannot be decompressed using traditional tools.
Since this is a Java program, installation is not necessary. It means that you can drop the files to any location on the hard disk and click the executable to run.
It is also possible to save Zip Recovery to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any computer with minimum effort, as long as it has Java installed.
An important aspect to take into account is that the Windows registry does not get new entries, and files are not left on the hard disk after removal, leaving it clean.
The interface is based on a regular window with a minimalistic structure, where there are only two buttons displayed, for decompressing ZIP files using the file browser and checking out product details. There are no other notable options available through this application.
Zip Recovery has a good response time and carries out a task rapidly and without errors. We have not come across any issues in our testing, since the app did not hang or crash.
Unfortunately, Zip Recovery has limited features. Nevertheless, the utility offers a straightforward method when it comes to extracting ZIP archive contents, and it can be handled by all types of users, whether they are experienced with this kind of programs or not. Keep in mind that Zip Recovery does not work with all broken ZIP files, though.
