ZylTimer.NET

ZylTimer.NET has been designed as a high-precision. NET timer component that provides developers with the possibility to build applications that can read time intervals of 1-2 milliseconds.
The standard. NET Timer component that is included in Delphi / C++Builder takes advantage of Windows Message Queue when it comes to generating Tick events, but this approach does not provide the possibility to accurately measure timer intervals that are smaller than 50 milliseconds.
On the other hand, ZylTimer.NET comes as a thread based timer, an architecture that delivers increased precision for timer intervals. Thus, it can easily prove an excellent option when it comes to building time critical applications.
With the help of this document, developers can ensure that the Tick event is fired at the right time, and option that is otherwise not available with the standard .NET Timer, especially when too many messages need to be processed.
