Abyssal Recovery

Abyssal Recovery is a software program developed specifically so that you can restore corrupted important information from scratched, defective or damaged CDs or DVDs.
The interface of the program is quite intuitive, which means that any type of person will be able to work with it. On the left side of the main screen are displayed all the necessary steps (Select Source, Select Destination and Copy Files), while on the right side the details of each action can be configured and modified.
When the last step is reached, the program shows details about the recovery process and even a progress bar, so that you can approximate how much time is left until you will be allowed access to the files in question.
Abyssal Recovery skips all the bytes which are not readable from a specific file and copies all the other ones, and therefore, extracts the maximum data available. In order to minimize loss, the app features an option that enables you to copy byte with byte. The only bad side to this is that, if you have a large number of files on a CD or DVD, the whole process is going to last a long time. The higher number of bytes you set to be copied at once, the faster the program will run.
The app may attempt to retrieve any type of file format, but it is important to keep in mind that it cannot perform miracles. If you have badly damaged CDs or DVDs, full recoveries might not be possible because Abyssal Recovery skips any read error encountered.
All in all, Abyssal Recovery is a very useful piece of software if you are trying to retrieve some important data from a damaged CD or DVD.
