ACAD WRITE Cite

ACAD WRITE Cite is a free citation generator for scientific and academic papers. The new download version is installed quickly and automatically creates references and bibliographical entries for academic papers that comply with your required citation style. The software currently supports six different citation formats, including APA and the Harvard system.

If you are using a referencing management program such as BibTex, RefMan or EndNote, ACAD WRITE Cite can read the respective .txt, .ris or .enw files and instantly transform your references into the desired citation style. BibText entries can also be added manually.

How it works

First, choose whether you want to cite from a book, journal, website or book chapter. Then enter the required information into the text boxes (e.g. author, title, year of publication, edition, page, publisher, etc.). Next, select your required citation style. ACAD WRITE Cite supports the Harvard system (incl. the Microsoft Word standard Harvard Anglia 2008), the Chicago Manual of Style (15th edition, Microsoft Word standard), IEEE 2006, and APA 5th and 6th edition.
Once you click the button “Generate citation,” the bibliographical entry and the correctly-formatted in-text reference will automatically appear in the right-hand column. The citation style may also be adjusted retrospectively (e.g. the generated citations can be switched from Harvard to APA). You can simply copy and paste the bibliographical entries into your working document.
