Anti Red Eye

How many times have you taken a portrait photograph of your friends or family and ended up with photos that have a bad case of the red-eye effect? Anti Red Eye is a plugin that can help you get rid of this problem in a matter of seconds.
The software works with image editors like Adobe Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro and other similar programs.
Thus, one of these editors must be active and the desired photograph open. When you run the plugin, a small interface appears, displaying the image; if you want, it’s possible to zoom in to see all the details of the modifications. All you need to do is draw a small rectangle over the pupils and the software works immediately.
Alternatively, if the results aren’t satisfactory, you can correct the picture yourself. When you do this, the changes can be viewed immediately. The job can be done by moving the sliders found in the lower area of the app, called “Pupil Detection” and “Correction strength”.
This problem can be found often, especially in photos taken with compact cameras, where the flash is very close to the camera lens. Low ambient light can also contribute to this situation.
However, if the photo you want to correct is that of an animal, make sure the problem is caused by the red-eye effect and it’s not the usual eyeshine, which can’t be removed with the same tools, since it’s caused by an entirely different issue.
All in all, Anti Red Eye is a nice plugin that can come in handy when you want to correct photos. The plugin itself is easy to use, but considering the complexity of the image editors it can be installed to, you need at least some experience with this type of software.
