RedEye Description
RedEye is a very simple tool that allows you to remove the "red eye" effect from an image.
The user interface is pretty minimalistic. Once you initiate the application, you have to insert the image you want to work with. Please note that only the JPG format is currently supported.
Thus you can use the right button of the mouse to create a circle, after which you can adjust the red value (from 0 to 50), by moving a slider. Once you are satisfied with the results, you can save the image in the JPG format.
Unfortunately, RedEye doesn't come bundled with any kind of settings you can configure. All you can do is use the "Undo" button, but it can only take you one step back, and there is no "Redo" function available.
Also, you cannot zoom in and out of an image, so correcting red eye on small pictures can become a rather time-consuming process.
You can access the "Using" and "Advanced" windows in the "Help" menu to find out how this small program works. Here you also find out that RedEye should integrate itself in the Explorer context menu.
The program uses a low amount of system resources and does a pretty good job at removing the "red eye" effect. However, this feature is just one small piece included in the features of other, more powerful graphic editors.
The bottom line is that RedEye is easy to use and most novices will be pleased with it. However, if you're looking for a graphic editor with additional functions, then you should try something else.
