Audio Identifier Description
Audio Identifier is a practical application that allows you to view information of your audio tracks. This tool can come in handy if you want to prepare songs for iPod devices or for file conversion.
The interface of the program is based on an Explorer-based layout that makes it intuitive when it comes to locating and selecting audio tracks. The file queue displays the name, format, size, length, bit rate, encoder name, encoding properties and quality of each item.
Furthermore, you can find out if the tracks contain ID3 VI, ID3 V2 or APE tags, export a selection to an HTML document, as well as filter files according to the aforementioned attributes.
In addition, you can disable automatic scanning mode or specify the scan level, create and manage a favorites list, customize columns and disable the folder tree, info or filter bar.
From the "Settings" area you can integrate Audio Identifier into the Explorer context menu, make it stay on top of other applications and to automatically collapse the selected folder, as well as set the quality estimation based on the bit rate. Options can be reloaded to their default values.
The program requires a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time and is stable. No errors have occurred during our tests and Audio Identifier did not freeze or crash. Unfortunately, there is no help file available and no recent updates have been made.
