BtoPDF

BtoPDF is a small Windows application designed specifically for helping you convert BMP and JPG images to PDF file format or vice versa.

Keep it on portable devices

This is a portable program which makes it an ideal candidate for being saved on USB flash drives. You can gain access to the tool’s features by simply running the executable file (there’s no installation included in the process).
A quick deletion task is sufficient for getting rid of the utility because it does not store entries in your Windows registry. Plus, you may run it without administrative privileges.

Interacting with the GUI

BtoPDF comes with support for two different interfaces for helping you set up the conversion process. One is used for creating PDF files out of images, while the other can be employed for converting PDF files to photo formats.
Both interfaces do not impress much in the visual department because the configuration parameters look too small so it may prove to be difficult to decode their meaning. Files can be imported in the working environment using the drag-and-drop support or built-in browse button.

Conversion capabilities

When it comes to converting BMP and JPG images to PDF file format, you are allowed to manually set the page size or choose between several preset profiles.
What’s more, you can adjust the page orientation (vertical or horizontal), set up margin parameters (upper, lower, left, and right values), tweak the size and scaling factor of the image, fit the photo in paper size, as well as specify the position of the picture in the output document.
In addition, you may keep the original filename or specify a user-defined one. By default, the output PDF files are exported to the same location as the source items.
If you opt for converting PDF files to an image format, BtoPDF lets you specify the number of pages from the target PDF file that you want to process.

Performance assessments and final remarks

Tests have shown that BtoPDF does not eat up a lot of CPU and memory resources so the overall performance of the computer is not affected. It delivers good output results. All in all, BtoPDF comes packed with basic features and needs GUI improvements.
