CSViewer Description
CSViewer is a command-line application that you can use to open CSV files and view their contents. These are displayed in a graphical interface instead of the console environment. It gives you the possibility to indicate the delimiter.
Open CSV files from a Command Prompt window
The syntax is CSViewer.exe [/c] [/f] [/s] [/t] CSVFile [/? | /h], where all switches are optional. The default separator is the comma "," character but you can opt for the colon ":" using /c, semicolon ";" using /s or tabulator using /t.
In addition, it's possible to specify that in the first row are the column headers to use (/f), as well as to view the help section (/? or /h), which also includes an example.
Read CSV text in a graphical window
The CSV file is opened in a graphical window right after hitting Enter. Besides the fact that you can check out the text written in rows and columns, you can find out the total rows and columns in the title bar.
Doesn't need installation
CSViewer doesn't require installation. It's portable as well as wrapped in a single executable file, so you can copy it to a preferred directory on the disk and even store it on a thumb drive to effortlessly open CSV files on any computer without having to set up software.
Easy-to-use and practical CSV viewer
The CSV opener had minimal impact on the computer's performance in our tests. Although it hasn't been updated for a long time, we didn't have any trouble getting it to run on Windows 10, without having to resort to the compatibility troubleshooter.
All aspects considered, CSViewer comes in handy to all types of users looking for a straightforward way to open CSV files. It has intuitive commands that require minimal experience with console-based utilities.
