Dator Description

Dator is a lightweight and easy to use application that enables you to convert dates from the Gregorian calendar to the Islamic one and vice-versa.
Simply enter a date in one calendar to obtain the equivalent date in the other calendar.
The Gregorian calendar is based on the birth year of Jesus Christ. It was introduced in A.D. 1582 by Pope Gregory XIII.
It recognizes two eras: B.C. (Before Christ) and A.D. (Anno Domini). A year has 12 months with 28-31 days each, totaling 365-366 days.
The Islamic or Hijri lunar calendar is based on the Hejira (migration of Muhammad from Mecca in A.D. 622).
It recognizes one era: A.H. (Anno Hegirae). A year has 12 months with 29-30 days each, totaling 354-355 days.
