dock_clock Description
Time is one concept which enables us to neatly synchronize all of our activities, regardless of our global position. You can even view the exact time from the tray area, with the possibility to set it to a custom time zone. There are also various third-party applications just like dock_clock which aim to provide different ways of telling the time.
Visually appealing and easy to use
First of all, you need to be sure that Adobe AIR is on your computer, not only to be able to benefit from what the program has to offer, but also to install it. The last step of the installer also offers to run the program to instantly see what it’s all about.
The application’s core feature is not really aimed at functionality, but rather visual design. As soon as it’s launched, a slim dock shows up on the side of the screen along with both an analog and digital clock. Unfortunately, there are absolutely no customization options to change any of the clock types or colors.
Choose a comfortable desktop spot
You’re free to position the clock and dock anywhere on the desktop, although it’s best left to one of the sides of the screen. In this regard, there’s a rotate button to make it suitable for all four edges of your screen, depending on where you like it best.
The clock is based on the system time, so if you plan on changing the time, it needs to be done from Windows. There is one particular thing about it, and that’s the auto slide mode. The clock can disappear from plain sight, and only show up for several seconds once every 15 minutes.
A few last words
Bottom line is that there are an abundance of methods to customize the way you tell time. As such, dock_clock is a neat gadget you can keep on the desktop, with it hidden most of the times, only showing up at regular intervals.
