Prerequisites and interface

The program's not wrapped in a setup package, so you can copy the downloaded files to the local disk or a USB flash drive to seamlessly run it on any PC. However, you must have .NET Framework installed. It doesn't make any changes to the Windows registry or create files on the HDD without asking for your permission.
As for the interface, Duplicate Images Finder has a small horizontal window that contains just a couple of buttons. You can get started by selecting a drive or directory to scan for duplicate files while including or excluding folders.

Compare images by filename, size and content

On scan completion, you can check out the similar images found by the application by viewing them side by side in an extended panel. The details reveal the name, format, width and height, along with level of similarity (percent) of the files.
When it comes to the image comparison method, the utility verifies not only the filenames and sizes, but also the contents to generate the similarity factor. It doesn't integrate features for deleting the duplicate images, so you have to take care of that task yourself.

Evaluation and conclusion

It had minimal impact on system performance, using low CPU and RAM, and scan tasks were carried out swiftly. On the other hand, it got stuck on a couple of times during scans in our tests.
Nevertheless, Duplicate Images Finder has simple and straightforward options for locating duplicate photos by taking into account the filename, size and contents.
