FixVTS

FixVTS is a lightweight cross-platform utility that allows users to fix some errors that may appear when trying to open VOB files with your default player.
Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry. You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to repair damaged VOB files on the fly.
The user interface is really simplistic and offers access to only a few configuration settings. You can drag and drop the VOB files directly into the primary panel, or use the built-in browse function.
FixVTS is able to read a full DVD (including the menus) and reorder the streams and VOB IDs, while retaining everything else instead.
The application gives users the possibility to select the operations to be performed during the repairing session. You can make the program remove unreferenced and blank cells that are usually inserted by DVD rippers when dealing with unreadable sectors on the disc, as well as update the pointers in the VOB file (LBA pointers).
Plus, it creates a backup which can be restored or deleted. The restoring process might take some time, because the application rewrites everything from scratch.
During our testing we have noticed that FixVTS carries out the repairing operation quickly and without errors throughout the entire procedure. The repaired items are automatically saved in the same location as the original ones.
All in all, FixVTS is a small but powerful software application that allows users to repair damaged VOB files with just a few clicks.
