Kindle Images Description
Creating Kindle books is very common now that anyone can publish a Kindle book without needing any special requirements or standards. However, the Kindle format doesn't support color images, Kindle Images allows users to convert images into a grayscale, so they are fully compatible with the Kindle format.
A very simple interface that offers zero ambiguity, yet few options as well
Kindle Images provides a very basic interface that operates in a straightforward and a simple manner, users load files into the application, either a single file or a batch, then they are processed. The grayscale filter requires only a few clicks to apply and no expertise to use correctly.
The decision to keep all the options inside menus is a bit disappointing, the application certainly contains enough free space in the main window. Empty space in the main display is always a poor design choice and there are several ways some of the information could have been brought to the main area.
A range of different features that provide the program with some depth
Since Kindle Images only provides one real function, it is important it offers some flexibility and versatility on how that single function is used. The application can handle multiple files at once, the batch feature is a must and Kindle Images doesn't disappoint in that regard.
The program also offers some additional options that are available when users begin to edit the image. Users can auto resize, auto rotate and reduce the color depth of a particular image, there is also an recursive search option. Custom directory options are also available, allowing users to set the output file for any edited images.
A useful application that might be simple, but operates well and provides enough options to satisfy users
While Kindle Images might not be the most complicated program, it performs a useful role with enough options and additions to make it robust enough. Kindle Images could be designed better, but ultimately, it performs what it is supposed to do.
