MIDICLOCK Description
MIDICLOCK is a small software application whose purpose is to help you synchronize MIDI devices. The tool can be used for synchronizing synths, effects, sequencers, and arpeggiators. It can be deployed on all Windows flavors out there.
Portable running mode
This is a portable program which makes it an ideal candidate for being stored on USB flash drives or other devices. You can gain access to its features by simply opening the executable file because you do not have to go through an installation process.
In addition, you may run it without being an administrator. The utility does not leave entries on the target PC so you can get rid of it using a quick deletion task.
User interface
MIDICLOCK reveals a straightforward design that allows you to set up the dedicated parameters with ease. A help manual is included in the package in case you need to find out more details about the configuration options.
How it works
MIDICLOCK is able to generate MIDI beat clock signals on MIDI output devices at a selectable BMP rate. In addition, you may also work with other output signals via user-defined output drivers.
The application comes with support for two MIDI output drivers and allows you to enable up to 32 MIDI input action mappings at the same time, configure fractional BMP rates from 0.001 BPM to 1000 BPM, as well as tweak other settings by altering data from INI files.
What’s more, you are allowed to hide the configuration settings from the main window in order to gain some extra space on the screen, edit MIDI commands to action mapping, as well as start, stop, pause, or resume timer.
Tests have shown that MIDICLOCK carries out a task quickly. It does not eat up a lot of CPU and memory resources so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered.
Bottom line
All things considered, MIDICLOCK comes packed with several useful options for helping you synchronize and control your MIDI devices in a short amount of time.
