OEM Info Editor XP Description
OEM Info Editor XP is a very easy to use Windows application designed to lend you a hand when trying to add or edit OEM information on your system.
The Windows System Properties dialog can be thus tweaked with your very own information, as the application lets you not only customize the displayed text, but also the logo showing in this screen.
The application is actually very easy to use, which is excellent news for beginners who’d like to customize their operating system a little bit and don’t know exactly how.
After launching the program, OEM Info Editor XP greets you with a very clean and straightforward interface that only asks you fill in some fields to change OEM information.
You are thus prompted to write down manufacturer and model, company, contact person, address, phone number, fax and mobile number, email address and website. What’s more, you can pick your company logo or any of the photos stored on your computer and use it as an OEM logo in the System Properties dialog.
A preview panel is also available and so are dedicated tools to backup and restore the current settings, just to make sure you are on the safe side in case something goes wrong.
Overall, it’s pretty clear that OEM Info Editor XP is one of the apps that serve their purpose with no fuss, running just fine on most Windows versions, but requiring administrator privileges on Windows 7 workstations. It’s easy to use however, so it can be safely installed by both beginners and those more experienced.
