PixVue

PixVue is an application designed to integrate with your Windows operating system in order to provide a simple and efficient method for image annotation and management.
The application is easy to install and use as it automatically adds new entries in the OS context menu which grant you quick and unobstructed access to all its features and functions. With a simple right-click you can preview a selected image or a group of selected images.
PixVue comes with an embedded image viewer that you can use to browse the photos on your computer. You are able to open one image, or multiple at a time and view them in the classic way or as a slideshow.
The viewer provides buttons for navigation, zoom in and zoom out functions, fullscreen and windowed viewing modes, as well a feature that allows you to rotate images clockwise or counterclockwise. It’s also possible to access the file’s properties and copy it to the ‘Pictures’ folder.
When it comes to annotations, the app allows you to add and edit information for the general characteristics of the image, keywords and origin.
In the ‘General’ section of the annotation process you can add the image title, author, author’s position, caption, caption writer and copyright notice. When it comes to keywords you can enter as many as you want. You add them one at a time and all you have to do is type it in and click the ‘Add; button. Keywords can be replaced or deleted anytime you want.
When it comes to the ‘Origin’ section, you can append information about the photo’s creation date and time, city, state, country, credit, source, headline, instructions and transmission reference.
PixVue enables you to locate images using the explorer’s built in Search Companion and allows you to look for them using XMP and IPTC metadata.
