Random Password Generator Description
Random Password Generator is a feather-light command-line application capable of creating secure keys with random characters. It utilizes lowercase and uppercase letters as well as symbols and numbers to generate complex keys, making a difficult task for anyone attempting to crack them using specialized tools.
Autosave passwords to file
Once launched in a PowerShell window, the program asks you whether you want to save passwords to a plain text document or only display them on the screen to select and copy them to the Clipboard.
In case you opt for the TXT file, it shall be automatically created with the "passwords" name in the same directory as Random Password Generator, displaying one key per line.
Set the number of characters and passwords
In the following stage, it's necessary to enter the number of characters for each password, along with the total passwords to create. This task is swiftly performed afterward, and you can view one key per line in the PowerShell window. From this point on, you can either exit the program or restart the task if you're not pleased with the results.
Lack of advanced configuration settings
Unfortunately, Random Password Generator doesn't make room for customization for advanced users interested in tinkering with the password complexity by excluding lowercase or uppercase letters, numbers or symbols, or by creating a list of personalized characters to include while excluding the rest.
Portable console tool with straightforward options
Installation isn't required, since you can directly run the downloaded .exe file to gain access to Random Password Generator. You can even copy the executable to a removable storage unit to effortlessly launch the application on any PC. It doesn't modify the Windows registry configuration or create files without letting you know about it.
Thanks to its step-by-step approach, Random Password Generator shouldn't scare off users less experienced with command-line utilities.
