RemoteScan is a lightweight and user-friendly application whose main purpose is to offer you the possibility of sharing an image scanning device within a Local Area Network, allowing up to one hundred computers to use it.
The utility features a quick and uneventful installation operation, after which you can get started working with it immediately after.
Firstly, you will need to connect the scanner to one of the computers, making it accessible via LAN or over the Internet, from anywhere in the world, without the need to physically connect by means of a cable, to the device.
RemoteScan can prove particularly useful in situations where multiple individuals need to work with the scanner or for people who do not want to deal with cables just to use the device, as they can access it from afar and get their documents scanned, without having to be near it.
The program allows you to select the preferred device, then configure the scanning settings, including the image resolution, the paper-size or whether to capture it in color or black and white. You can also adjust the brightness and contrast levels, and you can even preview the image, before proceeding with the operation.
