ShutdownTimer Description
ShutdownTimer is a small software application developed specifically for helping you shut down or restart your computer at a given date and time using a set of straightforward actions. It can be deployed on Windows XP, Vista, and 7.
Clean feature lineup
After a fast and simple installation process, where you only need to press a few buttons in order to complete the task, you are welcomed by a simple and intuitive environment that packs all configuration settings into a single panel.
Although you cannot appeal to a help manual, you can set up the dedicated parameters on your own because they look easy to decode.
Setup options
ShutdownTimer gives you the possibility to select the date from a built-in calendar when the action is triggered. In addition, you are allowed to jump to the next or previous month, view the current date displayed in the calendar, as well as jump to the current date no matter what month is displayed in the calendar.
What’s more, the application is able to show a countdown timer in the background in order to help you view the current time until the task is completed. Last but not least, you can define the action that is activated at the current date and time, namely shut down or restart.
A task can be cancelled by closing the program. Tests have shown that ShutdownTimer carries out a process quickly and without errors. It does not eat up a lot of CPU and memory resources so you can keep it running in the background without worrying that it affects the overall performance of your computer.
Bottom line
To sum things up, ShutdownTimer comes packed with nothing more than simple features for helping you process shutdown-related task with the aid of a timer, and suitable especially for less experienced users who do not have the time to work with complex shutdown applications.
