SlowpokeTimer Description
There’s always the same amount of time every day with more and more task to accomplish by the end of it. However, a careful planning of all of these events can lead to increased efficiency. This activity can easily be accomplished with computer applications like SlowpokeTimer which can monitor how long it takes to finish tasks.
Can be used on the go
One major advantage is that SlowpokeTimer can be carried around on a thumb drive, because it does not require installation in order to function. This means that registry entries are not affected while it runs, and so the target PC is not damaged in the process. However, the PC you use it on does need to be fitted with .NET Framework for everything to work.
Launching it brings up the operation window and also creates a tray icon where you can hide the application when the timer is configured. The main window is fitted with several value fields with which to configure the timer in seconds, or a random interval. Additionally, the alert sound can either be from the OS, or through an instant generator for custom input.
Timer and alert options
The visual support provides a basic progress slider with an additional percentage marker for an idea of how much time is left. Moreover, a dedicated panel shows the iteration number for multiple countdown sessions, as well as day time left.
However, the set of features is rather limited to configuring an audio alert. The lack of advanced features mean you can’t write a custom message to be displayed, let alone have applications launched when the counter reaches zero.
To end with
All things considered, we can state that SlowpokeTimer comes with good intentions, but lacks the integrity of an assistant which can remind you of every upcoming task or event. Although packed with several types of timers, you might miss checkpoints if you’re not around.
