Surfbird is an Electron-based Twitter client that allows you to view your Twitter feed, as well as send Tweets or direct messages.

Simplistic Twitter client that can be launched in practically no time

You can get Surfbird up and running in just a couple of seconds by simply downloading its archive, unzipping the package and launching it via its designated executable file.
As expected, you are required to provide the application with your official Twitter username and password in order to log in. Right off the bat, it becomes evident that this is by no means a full-featured piece of software.

Bare-bones user interface

The main window is split into four main sections, the "Tweet" panel on the extreme left and, following on the right, you get three more panels, named Home, Interactions, and Direct Messages.
Besides allowing you to tweet and send direct messages, the application also makes it possible for you to like, repost and mark tweets as read. Furthermore, you can also reply to tweets. You also get to filter the hidden tweets by clicking the sprocket shaped button.

From the Settings section, you can change the app's theme, as well as the default sound, provided that you take the time to add some in their respective folders.
