SysTime Description

SysTime is a simplistic application whose purpose is to show you how much time has passed since you've turned on your computer. It can help you find out if your PC was restarted after leaving it running to download torrents, for example.

Prerequisites and interface

The program's not wrapped in a setup kit. Instead, you can copy the downloaded executable file to a preferred directory on the disk or to a removable storage unit, in order to seamlessly launch it on any computer with minimum effort.
Just keep in mind that you must have .NET Framework installed, since SysTime was built with the aid of this platform. It doesn't create new files on the disk without asking for your permission, nor does it update your system registry with new entries. In order to get rid of it, you simply have to delete the .exe item.

View the system uptime

Although this is not indicated via a balloon message, the tool gets integrated into the taskbar notifications area at startup and automatically calculates the system uptime, revealing it in a tooltip on mouse hover (in hours, minutes and seconds) as well as on double click. It can be exited from the right-click menu. There are no other notable options provided by this utility.

Evaluation and conclusion

We haven't experienced any stability issues in our tests, thanks to the fact that it remained stable throughout its runtime, without causing the operating system to freeze, crash or show error dialogs. Although it hasn't been updated for a long time, it worked smoothly on newer Windows versions.
On the other hand, SysTime doesn't come packed with additional options or configuration settings for advanced users looking for richer features. Otherwise, it offers a simple solution for easily finding out for how long your machine has been working.
