TuffTEST Lite is a handy piece of software that gives you the possibility to analyze and scan your computer’s hardware components. It can analyze the components of your computer, in order to provide you with a diagnosis of each one. Additionally, the program is a self-booting, so you can immediately use it after you burn it to a CD or diskette.
Because the program boots from a CD or diskette and works directly with your hardware components, it does not have any operating system preferences or special settings. This standalone feature is handy to anyone, as you can scan and analyze any computer that supports CDs and diskettes, regardless of the operating system they run.
TuffTEST Lite will automatically test your hardware components when booted, if no other option is selected. Furthermore, you can select which components can be tested, by including or excluding them from the scan. You can customize each test session, by enabling or disabling individual tests for certain system components.
The application can provide you with system information, such as BIOS and CMOS settings or CPU speed, MMX Extensions and BIOS Checksum tests. These can be easily printed and further used for specialized analysis of your computer’s hardware configuration.
Due to the fact that the application is written in Assembler, it can seamlessly access and communicate with almost any hardware component. By doing so, you can use TuffTEST Lite on most computers in order to determine their hardware specifications and characteristics. By using the application, you can easily determine the current status of your computer’s hardware configuration, through rigorous testing.
