Online navigation still depends on a dedicated application to provide smooth previews, intuitive controls, and a comfortable set of options. There are plenty of programs which managed to build a name for themselves over the years, as well as others with similar functions, but less popularity, which is the case of Winfinity.

Windows comes in a fixed size

It comes in a pretty lightweight package, which doesn’t even take you through a setup process to ensure functionality. As such, launching it as soon as download is done allows you to access your favorite pages with little effort. Just make sure that your computer is fitted with .NET Framework for all to go as planned.
The interface isn’t really something to make it stand out from the crowd. In fact, it uses a rather poor choice of textures and buttons, but the overall layout is intuitive enough. Sadly, the window comes in a fixed size, which leaves out a lot of precious space, otherwise used for navigation.

Navigation options and extra functions

The set of navigation controls is basic, with reload, stop, back, and forth, as well as the home button, which takes you to the preconfigured page, namely Google. You also have a clock in the upper toolbar in case your online activities heavily depend on particular hours.
On the bright side of things, the application offers a search function which displays Google results. It can’t be set to a different engine though. More functions allow you to print the current page, access and view the source code, or download the entire page for offline navigation. Tabs are not implemented, but you can have multiple windows active at a time.

On an ending note

Bottom line is that a proper web browser doesn’t really need to be fitted with a whole abundance of features you don’t even know what they do. Unfortunately, Winfinity doesn’t really make the cut, especially for modern types of content, while also lacking basic comfort options, such as bookmarks management.
