Xteq RAM Alloc Description

There are multiple variables to be taken into account when building computer programs, such as resource consumption. On the bright side of things, there are different tools you can use to simulate high loads of computer resources, and one suitable example for memory units here is Xteq RAM Alloc.

Can be used on the go

A cool things about it is portability, which means you’re not taken through a setup process to make it work, thus saving a great deal of time and effort. More than that, it comfortably sits on a thumb drive so you’re able to use it on other computers without affecting stability, because it doesn’t make changes to system registry entries.
All it has to offer is found in a pretty compact window, which doesn’t pose any accommodation problems. There are a couple of fields which need to be filled in one at a time. They’re used to specify the amount of memory to allocate, while the other needs to be used to free up the reserved space.

Simulate memory usage

Note that the application isn’t meant to be a Task Manager, and the allocated space is only virtually occupied so it’s not taken over by anything else. This means that you don’t invest it in other running processes, but rather simulating heavy memory loads to perform testing in these conditions.
Closing the application frees up all allocated memory. Minimizing it sends the window to the tray area, and interacting with it brings the window back up. Unfortunately, there’s no possibility to create profiles to easily toggle them through the tray icon. To quickly launch it regardless of Explorer location, you can assign a hotkey command to its shortcut from the Properties panel.

To end with

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Xteq RAM Alloc isn’t your average application to boost performance of other apps, but rather a tool to prepare testing scenarios to simulate high memory loads.
