Random Password Generator Description
Random Password Generator is a fast and simplistic application that creates random and secure passwords on the spot, in order to help you protect your online accounts, wireless network connections, and anything else that requires data privacy.
Setup, prerequisites, and interface
Installing this tool is a speedy task that shouldn't impose any difficulties, thanks to the fact that the wizard has only familiar steps and there aren't any third-party offers involved. However, you must have .NET Framework, since it was developed with the aid of this platform.
As far as the interface is concerned, the utility sticks to a user-friendly window with a neatly structured layout, where all you have to do is pick the password length between 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20 characters.
Easily generate random passwords
The new key is automatically generated and displayed on the bottom part of the screen. It's made from lowercase letters and numbers. Apart from the fact that it can be selected and copied to the Clipboard easily, there are no other notable settings available here.
Unfortunately, Random Password Generator doesn't implement options for configuring the password complexity when it comes to the uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. On top of that, it cannot generate more than one key at the same time.
Evaluation and conclusion
We haven't experienced any stability issues in our tests, since the tool didn't hang, crash or prompt error messages. It left a small footprint on system performance, running on low CPU and RAM. Passwords were instantly created.
On the other hand, Random Password Generator doesn't make room for customization. We must also keep in mind that it hasn't received updates for a long time. Nevertheless, you can test it for yourself, since it's free.
