SFX Compiler Description
Archiving files not only reduces disk space taken, but also keeps them safe from malicious software. For enhanced deployment, SFX Compiler allows you to easily create standard self-extracting files. It is ideal for software developers who want to deliver their products in an easy and practical package
Displays helpful file info
The user interface of the tool is not as impressive as it is straightforward. You can effortlessly learn the commands, whether you have used similar software before or not.
So, you can import files into the list by using the file browser or the "drag and drop" method. You can view the file path, size, completed percentage and number of total files.
Customize content with various options
In the "Options" menu, you can select the main file to run after extraction and the one before it, as well as write a Window title and description.
Furthermore, you can set the default folder (by manually inputting the path since you cannot use a file browser), "OK" and "Cancel" button caption, note and banner image (in the BMP format).
Gets the job done well and fast
Additionally, you can set SFX Compiler to prompt the user for folder selection, ask when overwriting files, include folder names in SFX, display "done" message, let the user decide the extraction directory. But you can also save, open and import a SFX Compiler list, and view file properties.
The program uses a very low amount of system resources and quickly finishes a task without popping up any errors, freezing or crashing. Unfortunately, the help file cannot be accessed.
To sum it up
In conclusion, if you want a simple method for creating self-extracting files, then you can't go wrong with SFX Compiler. Even though support for beginners is not included, you can easily get acquainted with its features and start creating self-extracting archives in the blink of an eye.
