SMS Picture Maker is a lightweight software application built specifically for helping you convert BMP images to OTA file format and vice versa.
The OTA file format is developed by Nokia and represents a monochrome, uncompressed format using one bit per pixel, and is designed for mobile phones.
Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry.
You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to perform conversion operations on the breeze, without having to go through installation steps.
The layout is intuitive enough to be configured without having to consult a help manual or watch online tutorials.
The program gives you the possibility to upload files into the working environment using the built-in browse function or “drag and drop” operations.
What’s more, you can preview the images in the primary panel, and save the converted file by specifying a target location and filename. It is important to mention that the BMP photo must be less than or equal to 255X255 pixels.
On the downside, the tool doesn’t offer support for batch processing, which means you cannot process multiple files at the same time.

During our testing we have noticed that SMS Picture Maker carries out a task quickly, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. It is quite friendly with system resources, so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered.
